Arriving as part of the latest SS20 collection from Paris based atelier A.P.C., this Wilko Shirt is made from lightweight cotton which features an all over vertical white pinstripe pattern. Suiting a variety of casual and formal occasions, the body has been cut to a regular fit with a straight cut hem and the front is fastened by small circular pearlescent buttons which lead to a neat pointed collar neckline. Cut from the same fabric, on the left side of the chest a small patch pocket with a pointed edge has been positioned to sit in line with the rest of the print. On the reverse the shoulder yoke has also been cut from the same fabric and has been arranged so the lines flow in a different direction. The long sleeves have slit and pleat details at the wrists as well as single button cuffs that allows the fabric to be rolled to suit. The hem of the body is straight for a clean finish.
Founded in 1987 by Jean Touitou, A.P.C. are famous for their simplistic design style which focuses on quality, cut and fabric to create luxurious everyday basics. For SS20 a selection of the brands best loved silhouettes have been refreshed for the spring season in new fabrics and washes whilst an array of new designs have been inspired by 1970’s styling. Recent collaborations with Carhartt and L.A. based Brain Dead have demonstrated A.P.C.’s ability to vary their design style whilst remaining true to the original vision.
